What belongs in the scope

A trench drain only performs when the channel, outlet, and surrounding grades work together. The scope should identify expected flow, drain size, grate load class, invert and outlet elevations, waterproofing or seals, reinforcement, concrete encasement, joints, cleanouts, and how adjacent slabs direct water to the channel.

Plan the site before the pour

Verify underground services and the receiving storm or process system before excavation. In operating facilities, plan temporary drainage, isolation, traffic routes, cleaning, and cure time. Manufacturer details and current civil or mechanical information should be coordinated before forms are set.
